Translation
|
1 | | Peace, Uriah. Now |
2 | | Indeed the ewe that belongs to you |
3 | | has grown and reached (the time) to (be) shear(ed). |
4 | | Its old wool |
5 | | is being ripped off by thorn(s). Now |
6 | | come and shear it. On (the) day |
7 | | which you wash it, |
8 | | you should shear it.

1 | | And if you do not leave |
2 | | this day, send (word) |
3 | | to me, and I will wash it until |
4 | | you leave. Peace, ˀAḥuṭab. |
5 | | Now concerning this food (supply), |
6 | | we shall eat until tomorrow. |
7 | | Its grain (level) is an a(rdab). Flour |
8 | | remains there.
