In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
the 27th of Khoiak. I, Thecla, daughter of the blessed Constantine,
my mother being the blessed Osesinde (?), from the town of Kelsei on the east (bank)
am writing to Joseph the sailor, son of the blessed Stephen, his mother
being the blessed Amana, saying: In my own wish,
choosing and need I came to you and I got 19 solidi
of gold. I gave the estate of my parents to you, that which came to be mine from my parents,
and which is 17 shipa 1land measure, in the measure that was taken of it in all these (...)
These, then, I gave to you above this 14 solidi (...)
Over this estate, down to the children of your children, you are the lord.
...?... to give to your son or daughter ...?...
...?... which you received from me, simply, you are ...?...
...?... because he did what is yours (?)...
I swear by God the Almighty and by the health of our godly
king Mercurios that I will keep to this deed (prasis) in every place
where it is manifest. That who shall dare (...)
on my estate, this, either my sons, or my daughters, or (...) or
my relatives, they shall remain strangers to the Father and the Son
and the Holy Spirit (...) every Christian (...) ...
and he shall give that 19 solidi, which is doubled, that is
...seven(?) solidi (...). In your assurance, then, I have written this deed for you
so that it shall be firm and confirmed in every place where it is manifest
down to the children of your children in front of those who lead
...(...). It shall be firm forever.
I asked (...) people to be witnesses
(...) and my signature because I cannot write.

These are the witnesses:
(...) ...?... the holy Papnoutios, I am witness,
