Translation

1The Apocalypse of John
2The apocalypse (revelation) of Jesus Christ which God gave him to show his servants what will soon take place and he revealed it by sending it through his angel and his servant, John. He, who testified to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ which he saw. Blessed is the one who reads and hears the words of this prophecy and keeps to what is written in it. Because the time is near. John is writing to the seven churches of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. He who loved us and has freed us from our sins through his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom of our God and to be priests to God, his Father, to Him be glory and power forever and ever, amen. "Look, he is coming with the clouds of the sky, and every eye sees him, even those who pierced him, and all peoples on earth mourn because of him." "I am the Alpha and the Omega" said the Lord God, he who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
