Arrived is Phomtisosiris, son of Pa-[///]. I have heard]
the matters which happened to [you, and the matters]
which happened to the servants of Chnoum, [and the] grain,
which was taken from them. I have addressed the matters in question According to Martin, Demotic Texts (1996). Reading variant Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae: „nämlichen“.to
the priest of Chnoum. He has sent to Nechtminis, the priest of Min,
concerning the fields of the divine offering Reading variant Zauzich, P. Berl. Eleph. 1 (1978): „Tempelgut“.of Chnoum, in order not to allow
any man on earth to touch them. He Scil. the priest of Chnoum. has sent to Psintaes, son of Estphenis,
not to touch the divine offering of Chnoum at all. I have spoken
to him on account of the 256 (artabas) of barley which were taken from them.
He has spoken to me: ‘They (the 256 artabas) should be brought out of their houses. It is not
their seed-grain.’ Do not let
your heart be saddened concerning the matters
which have come. Nechtminis, the priest of Min, will not let
a matter of yours go wrong. It is said
that the priest of Chnoum will travel downstream here in Thebes on
1st Mesore. When he starts, I will send to you
regarding that which should happen there. Issued by
Potemetous, son of Psintaes, in the 17th regnal year, 29th of Epeiph.
