1 For the Roman writing of this name cf. Lüddeckens, Demotisches Namenbuch (1979-2000), 319 no. 47. 2 It is unusual that the smaller amount stater is noted before the higher amount of the deben and not behind as usual. This can for example be found also on Ostr. Berlin P. 12916 (stater before deben), and seems to be a local variant in Roman Elephantine. 3 For this name cf. Lüddeckens, Demotisches Namenbuch (1979-2000), 1274 esp. no. 54. The name attested in the Elephantine ostracon show a slight variance concerning the rear part. 4 Transcription and translation according to S. LIPPERT (paper presented on the 13th ICDS in Leipzig 2017). This group as the the last part of this line was written below the „40” due to the lack of space at the very end of the line touching already the left rim of the potsherd. 5 The scribe has corrected the writing of the name. 6 For one source of this name cf. Demotisches Namenbuch (1979-2000), 485. |
