R
15th regnal year, Phaophi [of pharaoh LPH] Artaxerxes LPH. [Thus has spoken the scribe of the divine book] of Chnoum the Great, master of Elephantine, Espmetis, son of Petosiris and his mother Ruru, to the carrier-of-Ra Haryotes, son of Amasis and his mother Merib, the scribe of the divine book of Isis: I have given to you the 6 month and 25 days of the office of a scribe-of-the-chest (and) of the office of a scribe-of-allotment [of] the temple of Elephantine, which I have bought from Espmetsepsis, son of Espmetis, son of Bochorinis, the wab priest of Chnoum,
2[together with Sen]iah, daughter of Esp[metis and her mother Rempnophris (II.)], in exchange for the 7 month [and days (of) the temple of Chnoum-]Arensnouphis, which you have bought from (1.) (the) wab priest of Anukis, Eschnoumis, son of Espmetis, son of Haryotes, and his mother Taheny (2.) and (from) Pa-ir-dit, son of Espmetis and his mother Arouhapemenfe, (3.) (and from) the likewise entitled Haryotes, son of Espmetis and his mother Arouhapemenfe, (4.) (and from) Tnephereus, {son} daughter of Espmetis and her mother Arouhapemenfe, which you have given to me for the month of the office of a scribe-of-the-chest and the office
3[of a scribe-of-allotment] mentioned above. They are belonging to you [together with your bread,] [///], herbs, wine, and everything which comes from them, and [with that which] will be added to them from the field, from the temple (and from) the town, together with the 1 loaf of baked bread, which is given to the temple of Elephantine, (precisely) to the priests, (and) which is made for the offerings of the ˹festivals˺ of Chnoum in the name of the district scribe. Any man in the world will be able to exercise control over the percentage mentioned above, together with their income, together with that which will be added to them, apart from you, whether father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, master, mistress (or) any man in the world,
4[I myself likewise.] The one who will come [against you because of the percentage] mentioned above {and} to take them away [from you] together with their bread, [///], herbs, wine, and their income, and everything which comes from them, and that which will be added to them: I will cause him to withdraw from you. If I do not cause him to withdraw from you, I will give to you 20 silver (deben) from the treasury of Ptah, adequate, yields 19 silver (deben) and ⅔ ⅙ 1/10 1/30 1/60 1/60 kite, yields 20 silver (deben) from the treasury of Ptah, adequate, again. Belonging to you are the 6 month and 25 days ˹mentioned above˺, together with their income and that which will be added to them, again. I have given to you
5[the papyrus roll] which has made for me Es[pmetsepsis, son of Espmetis], son of Bochorinis, concerning [the office] of a scribe-of-the-chest and the office of a scribe-of-allotment; together with the papyrus roll which have made the wab priests of Chnoum, the Great, master of Elephantine, for Espmetis, {son of Espmetis,} son of Bochorinis, the father of Espmetsepsis mentioned above, when he made a legal disput with them, while he demands(?) for himself ½ of the percentage of a [scribe]-of-the-chest and a scribe-of-allotment; together with the papyrus roll which has made Nespmetis, son of Bochorinis, for Seniah, daughter of Espmetis, concerning the ⅓ of [the] office
6[of a scribe-of-the-chest] and of the office [of a scribe-of-allotment, together with the copy] which has made Seniah, daughter of ˹Espmetis˺ on [another] papyrus roll. Total: 5 (papyrus rolls). They belong to you together with their liabilities, Any man on earth will be able to wield power over them, apart from you. And I am to cause them to be clear for you from every title deed and every word in the world. a) Udja-..?..mer, son of Espmetis, son of Petosiris, and his mother Tapmetis; b) the likewise entitled Petosiris, son of Es[p]metis and his mother Tapmetis; c) the likewise entitled Espnetensenis, son of Espmetis and his mother Tanephereus; d) (and) Segy, son of Espmetis and his mother Tapneti-hetnetjer;

A son belonging to {me} us will not be able to bring an old papyrus-roll (or a) new papyrus-roll ˹concerning them˺, {Ι myself} we ourselves likewise, in (the) name of the percentages mentioned above. The papyrus-rolls which we will bring to you, they belong to you, together with their liabilities, without citing any title deed [in] the world against you. [Issued by] the ..?.. of Chnum, the Great, master of Elephantine, the great god, Petosiris, son of Espmetis.
