Object

Object Type papyrus
Comments on Object Fragments of the first line have been joined to the papyrus using, what appears to be, a brown tape adhesive. Their position matches that published in the photographs of Sayce and Cowley pl. L. The placement of the fragments do not resemble that in Yardeni's hand copy. TAD correctly identified that the first is a חי, which they place in the name אחיו in line 1. The second is upside down. They read it as the רי of גמריה, and place it in line 1. The thrid they seems to be placed in the numbers of line 4. The fifth in ינתנונ of line 6. The final they read as the מר of the word לאמר in line 1. TAD's placement of some fragments are objectionable on material grounds in attempted digital reconstructions, but without consulting the object with conservator, this remains unresolved. Hence, TAD's reconstruction is generally followed here.
