Text concerns a weaving apprenticeship of a priest's daughter, possibly at age 8 to 9. Translation: Sarapamon (the) priest (is the one) who writes to Jenhor. Now, I give my daughter to you for two years so that no man shall ... ?? (set her free) from you for the eighth and ninth ... You, moreover, so that you do not neglect her but teach her her work. If you neglect her, this deed is dissolved. |
