Comments on Text | According to Margoliouth, the only letter pointed is the “qaf” of “qut” in line 5, the phrase “al-qarīr al- ʿain” seems to be euphemistic for “deceased”, if it were a proper name; the first article would probably be omitted, and he also mentioned that the domestic arrangement to be inferred from this receipt can easily be reconstructed. |
