Comments on Text | Margoliouth mentioned that from the chemical standpoint the recipe conveys little. This would probably result in the formation of an intimate mixture of calcium carbonate and salt, while in the letter it is possible that some mercuric chloride would be formed. This certainly is a brittle Stone that can easily be broken up into bits. The errors in grammar and punctuation call for little attention; by تجسل probably تغسل is meant. 1. 11 نقره is a particular weight. In 1.14 نار دمس is probably a reference to the common chemical operation of putting a closed vessel in a heap of embers or hot ashes contained in a hole in the ground. |
