Summary of Content A list of names with the number of dirhams assigned to each, as well as the final computation.
Location of Composition Aswan / Syene Upper Egypt, 1st nome Egypt (Certainty: high)
Comments on Text The total number mentioned is equal to 143, not 146 as stated in the text. Margoliouth mentioned that In most of the documents (III 2, III 3, III 4) the word which follows Tabātu means some commodity, wheat, crops, etc. here (nazl) must be mean (put in record), and the calculation at the end seems to be incorrect: the dirhams enumerated come to 143, not 146. There is indeed a word lost at the commencement of the list, which from another document appears to have been”ʿnd”, which is unlikely to account for the missing three. Margoliouth/Holmyard, Monneret, 267-268.
