Comments on Text | The loss of some lines renders the important of this letter obscure; By the paul it is likely that the writer means The Pauline Epistles, since the word is used by syriac authors in that sense, the baṣḫa, for which paper was required is therefore likely to signify a communion service, the form turrāj is recorded by Vullers; probably then the rendering “pheasant” is right, though the context is somewhat against it, In the churches and Monasteries of Egypt by Abū sāliḥ there is mention of monastery in Qūs called after St, Pisentius. It would appear from this document that there were several monasteries in the place. |
