A quarrel having arisen 8 between us because of our common property, we have decided 9 --- by me of an oath by the holy chapels and this --- 10 --- in accord with this I acknowledge that I have no longer any claim against you 11 about our common property except for the notes 12 --- and the house and the wood of the boat 13 --- of the mast. Since, therefore, you have sought from me a written 14 security concerning this, accordingly I acknowledge, swearing 15 by the consubstantial Trinity, that it is not permitted to me on any occasion 16 or time to bring action against you concerning the same legacy and (related) 17 matters. But if I should decide to bring action against you, (I acknowledge) that it shall not 18 avail, but that I shall provide, as penalty for the violation, 19 gold, three solidi in the weight of Syene, by judgment and authority 20 to be exacted from my assets. And for your security 21 I have had drawn up the security, which is valid and warranted, with 22 the signature of the one signing on my behalf.
