1 I am indebted to F. Hoffmann for suggestions on this word. Regularly, ḫrš “bundle” should be written with plant determinative, not grain determinative, but see copt. Ⳃⲣⲁⳃ “bundle with grains”. See also Wb III 330:13 ḫršw with plural-grain-determinative; and the discussion of the root ḫrš in Vittmann, Pap. Rylands 9, II, 631. 2 This word with the earth lump determinative is otherwise unknown. I am indented to R. Duttenheöfer for the suggestion of a connection with ἄκαυτος/ ἄκαυστος meaning “unfired”, but also “incombustible/fireproof”. This might be fitting with the earth lump determinative. |
