Comments on Object	Almost rectangular in shape. The surface is blackened with smoke damage and so the stela was doubtless reused, surface greatly weatherworn and friable, This tombstone is very similar to number st. Cambridge, Fitzwilliam Museum, E.1.1854, They belong to the same geographical area (Aswan), close to each other in the recorded date, writing style is very similar, the dimensions are close, and the text is written in the same number of lines, so Martin and Geoffrey think they may were made by the same person. Accordingly, with the help of some remaining characters, and according to the parallelsit’s possible to deduce part of the missing text.

Comments on Text	The text is in Cufic. The inscription is poorly preserved but it is evident that the owner was a woman, the interpretation is difficult, owing to the condition of the stela. It begins with basmala, but the next line is unclear, the plural ayyam, together with khalat (... days having passed) that a day from 3 to 15 safar is meant, for the second half of the month people counted backwards from the end of the month, and another verb, baqiyat “remaining”, would have been used.
