Range of Preservation (Text) | incomplete
State of Preservation (Text) | The papyrus contains a part of all columns of the letter. The beginning is found on the recto of the smaller fragment. The last column on the verso of the larger fragment has to be the end of the text because the other fragment is not inscribed at all on this side. The beginning of all columns is lost. Since the end of some columns is preserved, the text loss at the end of the other columns is minor.
Script, Primary | Old Hieratic
Language, Primary | Old Egyptian
Comments on Text Layout | The text is composed in vertical lines (columns). There is a margin below some columns (column 4 and 5 on the recto; column 1, 3, and 7 on the verso) so that the end of these columns is preserved. Thus te length of the columns varies. The space between the columns and the width of the quadrats are irregular. At the end of column three on the recto the scribe wrote a title and a personal name next to each other, rather than consecutively in a vertical line of text. In addition, a particle was written next to a personal name in the space between the columns five and six on the verso, because the text had reached the lower end of the papyrus. The largest space between two columns is between the columns four and five on the recto.
