State of Preservation (Text) | 47.218.69a, lot 1: 3 fragments written in Late Period hieratic. Two fragments have three lines of text, one of which shows that the last extant line is the final line of the page from which it came. The third fragment has a single line of text that is the final line of the page from which the fragment came. We have yet to determine to which papyrus or papyri these fragments belong. 47.218.69a, lot 2: Approximately 120 fragments written in Late Period hieratic. | |

Comments on Handwriting | 47.218.69, lot 2: Approximately 70 of these fragments show the hand of the scribe of 47.218.49. Only 14 of these fragments, however, match the sign size and line spacing of that papyrus. The others have slightly larger writing and more ample line spacing. They may be from one or more original lost columns belonging to the beginning of that papyrus. The other group consists of assorted smaller fragments written in Late Period hieratic. |
