2Extract from the roll of verifications of Titus Furius Victorinus, former
3Prefect, the title of which is above: the veterans below set forth, having served
4in alae and cohorts, having received Roman citizenship and the right to
5marry the women whom they were keeping when the citizenship was granted to them, or, if any
6were unmarried, the right to marry those whomever they may meet between now and then, up to one woman for each man — and similarly
7also for Romans and freedmen and slaves and others — were present
8at the verification of Titus Furius Victorinus, Prefect of Egypt,
9from Mecheir 24 till Phamenoth 25 of the present 23rd year
10of Emperor Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrian Antoninus Augustus
11Pius. The credentials which they presented to Septimius Priscus, Prefect
12of the Alexandrian Augustan Fleet, are placed next to each name, beside which
13the same Septimius Priscus has presented the identity paper of each man,
14because the most illustrious Prefect has so ordered.
15It is the first roll of two rolls, after (x number) other sheets
16of Syene. Marcus Antonius Pastor, wishing to reside
17at present in Syene, [?] years of age, Marcus Valerius Antonius
18Ammonianos, his son, [?] years of age. The same Pastor has displayed
19a bronze certificate, a copy of a bronze stele, on which it is set forth
20that he has performed military service and has been honorably discharged on
21the fifth day before the kalends of January, Gaius Iulius and Titus Iunius, the Severi,
22being consuls, from Augustan Pretorian Cohort I of Lusitanians, whose Prefect is
23Quintus Ailius Pudentillus, --- of horses --- provided?
24for Pastor, formerly of the camp and his son, a document of public acknowledgment, in the
2522nd year, by means of which Pastor, being absent, wrote? herein through witnesses?
26that Valerius Ammonianos was his son.
